In this tutorial we're going to apply a pattern to a custom selection. Neste tutorial, vamos aplicar um padrão a uma seleção personalizada. I chose to apply the US flag to a custom selection made to fit the US territory on the map. Optei por aplicar o pavilhão E.U. a uma seleção feita sob encomenda para se ajustar ao território E.U. no mapa.

Now, with the help of the Lasso Tool I made the custom selection to “fit” the US territory. Agora, com a ajuda da ferramenta Lasso eu fiz a seleção personalizada para "encaixar" o território E.U..

Probably you have noticed that the custom selection contains the surrounding oceans also. Provavelmente você deve ter notado que a seleção personalizada contém os oceanos ao redor também. To eliminate the waters from the selection I use the Magic Wand tool. Para eliminar as águas da seleção eu uso a ferramenta Magic Wand. With the left Alt key pressed I removed the transparent pixels from the selections (these are the waters). Com a tecla Alt esquerdo pressionado Tirei os pixels transparentes das seleções (estas são as águas). So now I end up with this selection, which is much better: Então agora eu acabar com esta selecção, que é muito melhor:

Now right click on the custom selection and select Layer via copy . Agora clique direito sobre a seleção personalizada e selecione Layer via copy. A new layer will be created containing the custom shape (in my case the territory of the US). Uma nova camada será criada contendo o formato personalizado (no meu caso, o território de os E.U.).

Now right click on the new layer and select Blending Options . Agora clique direito na nova camada e selecione Blending Options.

Now click on Pattern overlay from the new window. Agora clique em sobreposição padrão da nova janela.

Now select the Pattern picker . Agora selecione o seletor de padrões.

Now select your preffered pattern. Agora selecione o seu padrão pretendidos. I chose the US flag pattern. Eu escolhi o padrão bandeira E.U..

Now scale the pattern to best fit your layer. Agora, a escala padrão para melhor atender sua camada.

Click Ok to dismiss the Blending Options window. Clique em OK para fechar a janela Blending Options.

Save your settings Salvar as configurações

Now select both layers in order to merge them. Agora selecione as duas camadas, a fim de unificá-las. Click on one of them, then by pressing the CTRL key, choose the second one. Clique em um deles, em seguida, pressionando a tecla CTRL, escolha o segundo.

Now right click on any one of the two layers and select Merge Layers . Agora, clique direito em qualquer uma das duas camadas e selecione Mesclar Camadas.

That's it! That's it! For a better look I added the Drop shadow effect to the layer. Para uma melhor olhar Eu adicionei o efeito de sombra para a camada.
