In this tutorial we're going to apply a pattern to a custom selection. En aquest tutorial anem a aplicar un patró a una selecció personalitzada. I chose to apply the US flag to a custom selection made to fit the US territory on the map. Vaig decidir aplicar la bandera dels EUA a una selecció per encàrrec cabre el territori dels EUA en el mapa.

Now, with the help of the Lasso Tool I made the custom selection to “fit” the US territory. Ara, amb l'ajuda de l'eina Lazo em va fer la selecció personalitzada de "encaixar" el territori dels EUA.

Probably you have noticed that the custom selection contains the surrounding oceans also. Probablement hagi notat que la selecció personalitzada conté els oceans circumdants també. To eliminate the waters from the selection I use the Magic Wand tool. Per eliminar les aigües de la selecció s'utilitza l'eina Vareta màgica. With the left Alt key pressed I removed the transparent pixels from the selections (these are the waters). Amb la tecla Alt premuda vaig treure els píxels transparents de la selecció (aquestes són les aigües). So now I end up with this selection, which is much better: Així que ara acaben amb aquesta selecció, que és molt millor:

Now right click on the custom selection and select Layer via copy . Ara feu clic dret sobre la selecció del costum i la capa de seleccionar a través de la còpia. A new layer will be created containing the custom shape (in my case the territory of the US). Una capa es crearà una nova que conté la forma personalitzada (en el meu cas el territori dels EUA).

Now right click on the new layer and select Blending Options . Ara feu clic dret en la nova capa i seleccioneu Opcions de fusió.

Now click on Pattern overlay from the new window. Ara feu clic a Patró de superposició de la nova finestra.

Now select the Pattern picker . Ara seleccioneu el selector de patró.

Now select your preffered pattern. Ara seleccioneu el seu model preferit. I chose the US flag pattern. Vaig triar el model de bandera dels EUA.

Now scale the pattern to best fit your layer. Ara, l'escala del model que millor s'adapti a la seva capa.

Click Ok to dismiss the Blending Options window. Feu clic a D'acord per descartar la finestra d'Opcions de fusió.

Now select both layers in order to merge them. Ara selecciona les dues capes per tal de combinar-los. Click on one of them, then by pressing the CTRL key, choose the second one. Feu clic a un d'ells, a continuació, prement la tecla CTRL, seleccioneu la segona.

Now right click on any one of the two layers and select Merge Layers . Ara feu clic dret sobre qualsevol de les dues capes i seleccioneu Combinar Capes.

That's it! Això és! For a better look I added the Drop shadow effect to the layer. Per a un millor aspecte que afegeix l'efecte d'ombra a la capa.
